Job Description
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Full Stack Engineer / Engineering Lead to join our rapidly growing team. As the first engineering hire, you will have a unique opportunity to work directly with the CTO and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop our groundbreaking product. Your expertise in the MERN stack and passion for continuous learning will be invaluable as you shape the architecture and implement the core components of our cloud-based solution on AWS, GCP, or a comparable cloud platform.
Responsibilities:
- Influence the architecture and lead the implementation of our cloud-based solution, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Drive the adoption of robust DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous monitoring.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to transform ideas into user-centric, high-impact features.
- Tackle intricate technical challenges and ensure the seamless development and deployment process.
- Mentor and guide other engineering team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.
Qualifications:
- More than 5 years of experience in software development, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven track record in architecting and developing applications using the MERN stack, with a deep understanding of cloud architecture and services.
- Strong command of cloud architecture, particularly AWS services such as EC2, ECS, IAM, Cloudfront, Lambda, and VPC, or their equivalent services on other cloud platforms.
- Extensive experience with DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
- Proficiency in Git for version control and familiarity with Git workflows.
- Solid grasp of RESTful APIs, database design, and backend technologies.
- Prior exposure to Docker containerization and its role in maintaining consistent development environments.
